Ms. Nehchiri comes to Kaiser Permanente with extensive experience in reproductive medicine. She worked more than nine years at the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School, noted for founding clinical IVF in North America and as the location of the first baby born, worldwide, as a result of a stimulated (gonadotropin) cycle. During this time, she was the laboratory supervisor and worked with all aspects of in vitro fertilization, specializing in issues ranging from laboratory techniques in embryology – including cell culture, cryopreservation, intracytoplasmic sperm injection, and embryo biopsy – to quality control.

In the past two years, Ms. Nehchiri also worked as senior embryologist at the Shady Grove Fertility Center, one of the largest embryology laboratories in the world. Working with a team of 14 embryologists, she gained extensive experience in embryo development, from culture to blastocyst stage, as well as embryo selection for transfer.

In addition, Ms. Nehchiri has coauthored more than 10 publications and abstracts on topics such as assisted hatching, intracytoplasmic sperm injection, and blastocyst development.
