Fertility issues can affect men and women equally. If you and your partner have had difficulty getting pregnant, it is important to explore all potential causes of infertility.
As part of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) consult and preliminary testing process, a semen sample is requested for a thorough semen analysis. Based on the results of the semen analysis, your REI provider may refer you to a Kaiser Permanente urologist specializing in male infertility. The urologist will perform additional tests and offer greater insight into the causes and treatment options for infertility.
