Biography
Dr. Shen was appointed as the founding director of the Kaiser Permanente Center for Reproductive Health in 2003. She has won numerous awards during the course of her training as well as during her tenure at Kaiser Permanente. These included the Meehan-Miller Award from Yale-New Haven Hospital as well as a Kennedy-Dannreuther Award from the American Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Foundation, one of the most prestigious fellowship awards in this field. Dr. Shen received the Physician Scientist Award from the National Institute of Health in 1997 and achievement awards from the American Red Cross, Northern California Chapter. She has published numerous articles regarding reproduction and development in leading, international, peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Shen joined Kaiser Permanente in 1998 as a member of the Department of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and also worked at a Bay Area IVF Program. In addition, she has received the Kaiser Permanente Service Star Award for her leadership in developing the Reproductive Endocrine and Infertility program in Fremont, and her outstanding care.
